Ngo-Hamaraa Mission Dignity celebrated Gandhi Jayanti at Rajghat .
In the Poster Making contest ” Hamare Pyare Bapuji” ,the Founder Neena Goel of an Ngo took the participants of the contest to Rajghat , New Delhi .
Ms. Neena Goel, told students the importance of
Gandhi Jayanti and why every year *Gandhi Jayanti* is celebrated on the 2nd of October.It is the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.Further told that he was a great freedom fighter and a mass leader, represented the poor and deprived Indians of the British era. His policy of truth and non-violence, his methods of peaceful protests included every common Indian into the freedom struggle. Therefore, the birthday of Gandhi Jayanti is more of a spiritual celebration of truth and non violence.
With Harun sir and Jyoti madam,the students took part in SHRAM-DAAN to exercise to maintain the “spirit of cleanliness ” and took part in the SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN. Students paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi peacefully.
The atmosphere is filled with the feeling of patriotism. Later students enjoyed the refreshments. They were taken to Gandhi Smriti Museum also where Ms.Rekha Kaur, senior teacher told that we all should remember his teachings and principles and also vow to implement them in their own lives. All the kids enjoyed and boasted the natural beauty of Rajghat.
